Just another coffee drink, or so I thought. Little did I know that my impulsive decision to try the new Java Monster Energy drink would lead to finding my new favorite coffee beverage. I am not kidding, one sip and I was hooked on this stuff and now I can't get enough!

Java Monster is the latest new energy drink from Monster Energy. Touted as "Coffee + Energy", this drink certainly delivers on both regards. There are three different flavors to choose: Big Black, Mean Bean, and Loca Moca. I tried Loca Moca first but it didn't take more than half a can to convince me to rush back to the store to grab a can of Big Black and Mean Bean (and stock up on more Loca Moca as well).

My favorite flavor is the first one I tried, Loca Moca. It's creamy, smooth, and packs a wallop of energy. I'd compare this drink to Starbuck's Frappuccino, except that would be a bit of an insult to Monster Energy. The Java Monster is smoother, more flavorful, doesn't have that watered down pond water aftertaste, and oh yeah - you get almost twice as much for about the same price.

Final Verdict:
I give the Java Monster energy drink five stars, two thumbs, and Vinnie's left pinkie toe. This drink is that good. Forget about Starbuck's or McDonald's or whatever coffee drink calls to you - If you don't at least try a Java Monster, you'll never know how bad that pond water actually is.
